Spa Etiquette

To begin your spa experience, we invite you to check-in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled spa treatment to allow time to fill out any intake forms, change and begin the relaxation process. As a courtesy to the next guest, should you arrive late, your appointment will end as originally scheduled.

Policies and Procedures

Late Arrivals ~

If you are late your session will be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours.  Dependent upon how late you arrive your therapist will determine if there is enough time to start a treatment.  Regardless of the time of the treatment actually given you are still responsible for the “full” initial session fee.  Please plan accordingly and be on time.

Canceling/Rescheduling ~

Appointments that are rescheduled with less than 4 hours notice will be subject to a rescheduling fee. Scheduling an appointment is reserving time for you. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we would appreciate 24 hours advanced notice allowing the opportunity for someone who would like to schedule for your appointment time. If you are not able to give 24 hours advance notice you will be charged 50% of the total scheduled appointments services.

No-Show ~

Anyone who forgets, consciously chooses to forgo their appointment, or is late more than 1/2 of the scheduled appointment time is considered, for all intents and purposes, a no-show. After 2 missed appointments, your next appointment will be at the therapist’s discretion. The therapist may refuse service to any client who has had 2 missed appointments ~ OR ~ Prepayment in full may be required before your massage is scheduled.

Confidentiality ~

Your ability to feel at ease and confident in the services provided to you are of the utmost importance. Everything discussed and disclosed during the current session and any future ones will be kept confidential except when subpoenaed by a court of law. Client details would not be revealed, unless the client has given written permission to do so. I will not confirm nor disclose the fact that a specific person is my client, unless I have permission and the written consent of the client to do so

Sexual Appropriateness ~

Sexual behavior by the client toward the therapist or by the therapist toward the client is unethical, inappropriate and unacceptable.  Sexual harassment is not tolerated.  If the therapist's or client's safety feels compromised, the session is stopped immediately.

Please note:

Massage, bodywork and somatic therapies specifically exclude diagnosis, prescription, manipulation or adjustments of the human skeletal structure, or any other service, procedure or therapy which requires a license to practice orthopedics, physical therapy, podiatry, chiropractic, osteopathy, psychotherapy, acupuncture, or any other profession or branch of medicine.
